The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide has launched a free agricultural program in Bayelsa State, empowering youths to promote food security and employment. The initiative, part of Dr. Daniel Olukoya’s 70 Points Youth Repositioning Agenda, aims to engage youths in sustainable agricultural practices using church-owned land.

According to Pastor Emmanuel Akinola, Mega Regional Overseer, MFM Bayelsa Mega Axis, “This is our contribution to national food security and youth empowerment. Bayelsa is blessed with fertile land, and this initiative is helping us to use that blessing for the good of our youths.” The program seeks to reposition youths and deliver them from globally prevalent vices, making them self-reliant and eventually employers of labour.
The training covered demonstration farming, agronomic methods, climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness fundamentals, and value chain opportunities. Great Sunday, a farmer and lead trainer, noted that the youths were taught entrepreneurial skills, including vegetable farming and business analysis.
Beneficiaries praised the program, with Evelyn Anetorufa, a former classroom teacher, describing it as life-changing. “I was earning little, but now I am a proud farmer. I plant cucumbers and vegetables and have customers within and outside Bayelsa. I am now financially independent by God’s grace.”
The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Prof. Beke Sese, commended MFM for supporting the state’s ASSURED transformation agenda. “Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is a true church of God. We appreciate Dr. Olukoya for this noble initiative. Thank you for taking our youths off vices and cultism.”
The program’s impact extends beyond agriculture, with Youth Pastor Bayo Olutoye affirming, “This program is not just about farming; it is about capturing the hearts of youths for Christ, redirecting their paths, and helping them fulfil purpose.
