Wilfred Ndidi has raised concerns over the officiating quality following Beşiktaş’ narrow defeat to Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe, according to ZINGTIE reports.

A Controversial Penalty Decision

Beşiktaş lost 1-0 to Fenerbahçe at the Chobani Stadium on Sunday night. The match saw Fenerbahçe awarded a contentious penalty late in the game.

The decision came after Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Agbadou was judged to have fouled Dorgeles Nené inside the box. However, replays appeared to show that Agbadou had cleanly won the ball.

Ndidi’s Outrage on Social Media

Ndidi, clearly upset by the decision, took to social media to voice his frustration. “How can you have VAR and decide not to check? I’m still trying to understand,” he posted on Instagram.
