A prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi, has reiterated his long-standing claim that he won the 2023 presidential election, maintaining that the officially announced outcome did not reflect what he believes to be the true result.

Speaking during the Naija Unfiltered on Saturday, Obi stated that he considers his campaign successful despite the official declaration.

“I can show you today, as far as I’m concerned, I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it,” he said.

He restated the claim for emphasis, adding: “And we won. I can show you today as far as I’m concerned. I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it.”

Peter Obi contested in the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the Labour Party, where he secured approximately six million votes.
