20-year Old Girl Sentenced For 20 Years In Prison After Sleeping With A School Going Boy

A startling court ruling has ignited widespread reactions across social media.

Mercy Mwende, a 20-year-old woman, has been sentenced to 20 years behind bars after being found guilty of engaging in a relationship with a school-going boy.

The judgment was delivered in a Nakuru court, leaving many people in disbelief.

The young woman, who completed her secondary school examinations in 2022, is said to have met the boy during a visit to Elburgon. What began as a casual encounter later developed into something more serious, ultimately leading to significant legal consequences.

Although she denied the accusations, the court concluded that the evidence presented against her was compelling. Under Kenyan law, the offence is classified as defilement, with strict penalties applied when a minor is involved.

She was subsequently handed a 20-year prison sentence.
