Over the weekend, a cow assaulted a staff worker at the Government House in Asaba, causing chaos.
Some people were also hurt by the cow, which was intended for slaughter.
After attempting to tame the animal, one of the victims—a male in his 30s—was pushed down and suffered serious injuries. He was taken right away to the Government House clinic’s emergency room.
“He sustained deep wounds on his thighs and was initially taken to the Government House Clinic for emergency care.
“Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to an undisclosed hospital where he is currently battling for his life.
“Another victim, identified simply as Peter, a cook at the Government House, also sustained injuries.
“The first two butchers called to slaughter the cow were unable to handle it and fled the scene. The critically injured victim was reportedly the second person called to take over the task,” a source disclosed
Government House had not released an official statement at the time this report was filed.
