At least three individuals, including a child, lost their lives and eight others were injured following a Russian drone strike on Pavlohrad, a city in central Ukraine.

The attack was confirmed on Friday by Serhiy Lysak, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, via a post on the Telegram messaging platform. He reported that Ukrainian forces had intercepted and destroyed 11 drones over the region.

“The aggressor again conducted a mass attack on the region with drones,” he stated.

Lysak also noted that multiple fires were sparked within the city, sharing an image of flames engulfing parts of a multi-storey building.

Of the injured, six individuals were admitted to the hospital for treatment, while two others including a 15-year-old girl received medical attention at the scene.

“Unfortunately, there are already three dead in Pavlohrad. Among them is a child,” he added.

According to Ukraine’s air force, Russia deployed 103 drones in overnight assaults targeting various parts of the country, resulting in destruction across five different regions.

Pavlohrad, a key industrial center with a pre-war population estimated at 100,000, also serves as a significant railway junction for the Dnipropetrovsk region, linking it with eastern Ukraine.
