A 15-year-old boy, Ahmed Sulaiman, has lost his life following a violent clash among teenagers over food in Gwangwan Village, located in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, on Wednesday.
According to the report, the incident occurred on June 1 at about 9:00 p.m. after an argument erupted among a group of teenagers within the community.
Police sources revealed that the dispute involved Ahmed Sulaiman, 15, alongside three other teenagers identified as Abdulaziz Garzali, 13, Amiru Sani, 15, and Habu Mani, 14.
The disagreement was said to have started over food before escalating into violence.
“During the fight, Abdulaziz allegedly got a knife from Habu and used it to stab Ahmed, causing serious injuries.
“The victim was rushed to Rogo General Hospital for treatment but was confirmed dead while receiving medical attention,” Makama said.
The village head of Gwangwan, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur, reportedly informed security authorities about the incident.
Police sources disclosed that the suspects have been identified and are currently assisting investigators to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Kano State Police Command stated that a full investigation is ongoing and assured that appropriate legal action would be taken after the probe.
