Galatasaray have reportedly enlisted the help of striker Victor Osimhen in their bid to lure fellow Nigerian international Ademola Lookman to Turkey this summer.

According to Fotomac, the Turkish champions are eager to secure the services of Lookman and have identified him as a major transfer target.

The club is said to be hoping that Osimhen can play a role in persuading the forward to consider a move to Istanbul.

Lookman only completed a transfer to Atlético Madrid during the January transfer window in a deal valued at €35 million.

Since arriving in Spain, the 28-year-old has established himself as one of the standout performers in the squad.

The Nigerian attacker has recorded five goals and four assists in 24 appearances for the LaLiga side.

Galatasaray’s move to involve Osimhen highlights the difficulty they anticipate in trying to pull off the transfer.

Atlético Madrid are already dealing with the departure of Antoine Griezmann, while the futures of Julian Álvarez and Alexander Sørloth remain uncertain.

As a result, the Spanish club are expected to be reluctant to approve the exit of another key attacking player this summer.
