Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, working alongside personnel of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service (NN SBS), have arrested three individuals suspected of supplying logistics and intelligence to the Lakurawa terrorist group in Kebbi State.

The development was disclosed in a post shared on Friday by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, through his X handle.

According to Makama, the suspects were apprehended at about 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 21, during an intelligence-led operation carried out by troops of the Combat Service Intelligence Brigade (CSIB) VII stationed at Kangiwa Village in Arewa Local Government Area of the state.

Citing security sources, Makama said the three suspects were allegedly acting as informants and logistics providers for Lakurawa terrorists operating in the area.

He further stated that the suspects have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Division in Kangiwa for further investigation and possible prosecution.

According to the security sources, the operation is part of ongoing intelligence-driven efforts aimed at dismantling the support structures sustaining terrorist groups, including their informants and logistics suppliers, across the North-West.
