The All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed reports claiming that it has withdrawn the list of members appointed to its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The ruling party described the reports as mere rumours and maintained that any decision to alter the composition of the campaign structure would be officially communicated.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the clarification on Tuesday morning.

Speaking to TheCable, Morka said there was no basis for the reports suggesting that the previously released list had been withdrawn.

He stressed that the party would formally announce any changes if adjustments were eventually made to the campaign council.

“It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” he said.

The clarification followed reports that the APC had withdrawn the list amid preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The party had recently announced the composition of its Presidential Campaign Council as part of its preparations for the 2027 presidential election, in which President Bola Tinubu is seeking re-election.

The release of the list triggered reactions from within the APC and among various political stakeholders.

Some party members reportedly raised questions over the inclusion and exclusion of certain individuals from the campaign structure.

The development subsequently fuelled speculation that the ruling party could make changes to the composition of its campaign council.
