Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has expressed confidence that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election and eventually be sworn in as Nigeria’s next president.
Mohammed made the declaration on Tuesday while addressing participants at a town hall meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The governor maintained that Makinde, who is contesting under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, alongside his running mate, Dauda Lawal, would secure victory in the forthcoming election.
Lawal is a former Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Mohammed described the APM as a political platform for Nigerians who believe in the country’s future and are committed to building a new Nigeria capable of addressing the challenges of the 21st century.
He added, “APM is a sanctuary for those who believe in the future, who believe in a new Nigeria that will be reset and ready to face the challenges of the 21st century and we are bringing some of the best that Nigeria has – that is Seyi Makinde and his partner, Dauda Lawal.”
