King Charles III, the British monarch, has shared his admiration for Nigerian artist Davido, revealing that his music sparked his love for Pidgin English.

During a new episode of the Apple Music show The King’s Music Room, which aired on Monday, King Charles expressed a strong desire to speak Pidgin during his next visit to Nigeria.

The monarch shared his diverse music tastes on the show, mentioning Davido’s song Kante, featuring Fave, as one of his favorites.

“Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” Charles III stated.

Davido reposted the video on his Instagram story, offering a shout-out to the royal family.
