Arsenal have slipped to second position in the Premier League standings following a shocking 3-0 loss to Brighton on Saturday.

The Gunners were hoping to maintain their flawless start to the campaign by securing another victory at the Amex.

However, Brighton dominated proceedings from the opening whistle and went into the interval with a two-goal advantage.

Pascal Gross opened the scoring for the hosts before Charalampos Kostoulas extended Brighton’s lead.

Chema Andres added Brighton’s third goal after the restart to complete a convincing victory for Fabian Hurzeler’s side.

The result means Manchester City could move three points ahead of Arsenal if they defeat Sunderland when the two teams meet on Sunday.
