Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate for governor of Anambra State in the November 8 election, has stated his belief that the party has the necessary team to win the polls.

This was said by Ukachukwu during the campaign council’s inauguration prior to the election, which saw four current State House of Assembly members defect to the party.

Hon. Augustine Ikedoji (Nnewi North, YPP), Hon. Patrick Okafor (Onitsha North, LP), Hon. Paul Oti (Orumba North, LP), and Hon. Patrick Udoba (Anambra West, APGA) are among the defectors, according to ZINGTIE.

Speaking to the campaign council members, Ukachukwu claimed that the APC has brought together respectable individuals to advance the party’s goals.

“When God wants to deliver people, He sends men and women. With the people in this campaign council, Government House Awka is possible.

“But we cannot win without hard work. From the developments in our party, it is clear to me that APC will take over Anambra. Yet, faith without work is in vain,” he said.

He promised to impose a state of emergency in agriculture and other vital sectors that support development. He promised to give infrastructure, security, and industrial expansion first priority.
