Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, has called the criticism he has faced so far this season “abuse.”

Only eight goals have been scored by Rashford in 40 games this season.

The 26-year-old has since drawn criticism from both fans and commentators.

In response to a post on X, formerly Twitter, in which it was stated that he had been treated in a “cruel” and “absolutely disgusting” manner, Rashford noted that the amount of criticism had reached an unbearable level.

He wrote: “It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough.”

Rashford, who scored 30 goals in all competitions the previous season, was benched by manager Erik ten Hag for two games after playing poorly in United’s 1-0 loss at Newcastle in December. The Dutch manager also took issue with Rashford’s attitude off the field.
