England manager Gareth Southgate has warned Marcus Rashford that he must “fight” and put in a lot of effort to get into the team for the 2024 European Championship.

Southgate made it clear that Rashford needs to keep up his steady play because he faces tough competition from young players like Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer, and Phil Foden.

Despite having only seven goals in 34 games for Manchester United this season, Rashford has managed to get a spot in England’s most recent 25-man squad for the warm-up matches against Brazil and Belgium.

Rashford should improve his performance in front of the Euros, according to Southgate, who has voiced his confidence in his ability.

According to Metro UK, Southgate stated, “He has a battle on his hands with Gordon, with Palmer, and with Foden, so we’ve got big competition for places in that area.”
