The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise as part of efforts to expand its workforce and enhance service delivery across the country.

The agency called on suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for available positions in its officer, marshal inspectorate, and road marshal assistant cadres.

In a recruitment notice released on Thursday, the corps disclosed that interested and qualified candidates can seek employment opportunities in various departments of the organisation.

According to the announcement, available positions include Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), Assistant Route Commander (ARC), Marshal Inspector II and III, as well as Road Marshal Assistant I, II and III.

The FRSC explained that applicants seeking officer cadre positions must possess relevant university degrees or Higher National Diplomas (HND) obtained from recognised institutions, while those applying for the marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant categories must satisfy the educational and professional qualifications attached to their respective positions.

The corps further stated that artisans, drivers, and riders with relevant experience and qualifications are eligible to apply under the road marshal assistant category.

It added that prospective applicants must be Nigerians by birth, possess computer literacy skills, and be medically fit, noting that a valid National Driver’s Licence will serve as an added advantage.

Other conditions listed by the corps include possession of a medical fitness certificate issued by a government-approved hospital, relevant professional licences where applicable, and compliance with the prescribed height requirements of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.

The FRSC also stated that candidates must be individuals of good character, free from financial liabilities, and must not have any criminal conviction.

According to the agency, the application portal will become accessible on Friday, July 3, 2026, while interested candidates are expected to complete and submit their applications within four weeks.

The corps emphasized that the entire recruitment exercise remains free and advised members of the public to be cautious of fraudsters, stressing that no payment is required at any stage of the process.
