Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is reportedly considering ending his spell at Old Trafford following his recent criticism of the club’s technical director, Jason Wilcox.

The Red Devils suffered another setback on Tuesday, losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, extending their winless run to five consecutive matches.

Following the defeat, Martinez reportedly voiced his frustration during a post-match exchange.

According to The Athletic, the Argentine defender’s future at Manchester United has become uncertain in the wake of his recent comments.

Although Martinez is entering the final year of his current contract, the Premier League club has the option to extend his deal for an additional year.

However, the report indicates that the Argentina international is not interested in extending his stay at the club.

Martinez is reportedly keen to move to a La Liga side in the future, raising further questions about his long-term future at Manchester United.
