The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has ordered the immediate suspension of football fan Jamilu Murtala from all league-related activities over alleged repeated threats to the safety of match officials and visiting teams.
Ranchers Bees, who currently use the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano as their temporary home ground, had complained about Murtala’s access to restricted areas around the pitch during their home matches.
In a formal complaint to the NPFL, the club distanced itself from the supporter, alleging that his conduct had repeatedly disrupted proceedings during its home fixtures.
Following the complaint, the league directed that Murtala be barred from the stadium and all NPFL activities in a move aimed at maintaining order and protecting match officials and visiting teams.
Ranchers Bees are scheduled to travel to Ibadan on Sunday for their next league fixture against Shooting Stars.
The Kaduna-based club will return to home action on Sunday, October 25, 2026, when it faces Doma United.
