Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has stated that he is not pushing for the club to recruit additional players during the January transfer window.
The Portuguese tactician explained that he prefers managing a smaller squad rather than having too many players at his disposal.
However, Mourinho acknowledged that his stance could change if the club’s management decides to strengthen the team with new signings.
“I’m not asking to sign new players, I’m happy,” Mourinho said.
“The players are improving, especially if we have time and calm. I have to work on developing them, and I don’t have the audacity to ask for new players.”
“I love having a limited-number squad. And for a new player to join, another player must leave. If the management thinks about anything, we’ll evaluate it, but I won’t take the initiative to request players. I don’t want players.”
