The Premier League will stage its final set of fixtures before the international break this weekend.

Clubs will be hoping to head into the three-week break on a positive note by securing favourable results.

There has already been a major surprise this game week, with Chelsea suffering a 3-0 defeat away to Brentford.

But which other matches could deliver unexpected outcomes?

1. Brighton vs Arsenal: Mikel Arteta’s side head to the Amex Stadium with a perfect start to the campaign. Arsenal have won every game they have played across all competitions so far. However, Brighton are also enjoying an encouraging beginning to the season and could provide another stern challenge for the Gunners.
2. Bournemouth vs Liverpool: Andoni Iraola will return to his former club when Liverpool visit Bournemouth this weekend. It remains unclear how the Bournemouth supporters will welcome their former manager. However, the players he worked with only four months ago could be determined to make a statement against their former boss.
3. Man City vs Sunderland: Ahead of Sunderland’s trip to the Etihad Stadium, Enzo Maresca praised the Black Cats for their defensive organisation and determination. He even suggested they were unfortunate to lose against Arsenal last week. City will now have to find a way past Régis Le Bris’ side as they look to remain within touching distance of Arsenal.
4. Fulham vs Man Utd: Many supporters and pundits expect Manchester United to respond to their back-to-back defeats by claiming victory at Fulham. The Cottagers have struggled in the league and have collected only one point, although their Carabao Cup victory over West Ham could provide a much-needed boost. That result could give Fulham the confidence to produce a surprise against Michael Carrick’s side on Sunday.
