Nyesom Wike, a current minister of the Federal Capital Territory and a former governor of Rivers State, stated that his friendship with former governor Peter Odili has soured.

Speaking with select TV channels, Wike claimed that some political differences were the reason their partnership fell up.

Wike’s predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, was handed over by Odili, a two-term governor of Rivers State.

“As it is today, politically we don’t have a good relationship. We don’t work today. there are some political differences,” Wike said.

However, the FCT minister omitted to discuss the specific events that resulted in their contentious relationship.

Meanwhile, former transportation minister Chibuike Amaechi pledged in an interview that aired on Nigerian Television Authority last week that he would never, under any circumstances, be unhappy with Peter Odili.
