Ukpo Nwamini David’s father is dead.

Senator Ike Ekweremadu brought the kid, Nwamini, to the UK for a kidney transplant.

After years of not seeing his kid, his father reportedly passed away yesterday from heartbreak.

One of the sons, Boniface Nwamini Ukpo, confirmed his father’s passing in a Monday morning speech. He also stated that they haven’t spoken to David since the incident in 2022.

According to him, “Yes, my father d!ed yesterday (Sunday) afternoon by 12 p.m. It’s so sad that since the incident happened in 2022, we have not spoken with my brother, David Nwamini.”

“So, my father has been sick over the saga, and yesterday he finally d!ed,” he told our reporter.

Recall that a London court imprisoned Senator Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, and his doctor for smuggling the trader from Lagos to the UK so they could illegally harvest his kidney for their daughter’s transplant.

The UK’s Crown conviction Service (CPS) reported in 2023 that Ike Ekweremadu had been convicted to nine years and eight months in the UK’s first criminal organ-harvesting conviction, while his wife Beatrice, 56, was sentenced to four years and six months.

According to the CPS, 51-year-old Nigerian doctor Obinna Obeta, who was referred to by prosecutors as a middleman, received a 10-year prison sentence. In March 2023, all three were found guilty of plotting to plan the boy’s journey so that his organs might be harvested.
