According to Stanley Okoro-Emegha, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Ebonyi State, farming is the only way to stop Nigerians from becoming more and more hungry.

In an interview with reporters on Wednesday in the capital of Ebonyi State, Abakaliki, Emegha disclosed the information.

He urged Nigerians to return to raising cattle and crops, stating that if every family turned their backyard into a chicken farm and vegetable garden, the demand for domestic necessities would go down.

He underlined that all Nigerians, regardless of class, must work together to overcome the nation’s current challenges.

‘” Things are hard in the country, but the much we can do is to be bold and pull our ideas together to overcome the challenges.

“’ I want everybody to embrace agriculture; let’s feed first. These are things we can do by ourselves, and I have told my family that all of us have to go into food cultivation.

“If you have food, I don’t think you will count yourself among the people that are lacking.

“Let’s embark fully into agricultural activities and reduce our engagement in English things.

In response to the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) demand that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu resign due to increasing hardship, the party chairman declared that hunger knows no political boundaries and urged Nigerians to resume cultivating crops and livestock.
