Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, can now be arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in advance of his arraignment on Thursday, according to a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja.

On the EFCC’s request, Justice Emeka Nwite issued the warrant on Wednesday afternoon.

This occurred after the EFCC was barred from arresting, holding, or prosecuting the former governor by the Kogi State High Court in a divided ruling.
