Nigerian businessman, Isaac Fayose, has disclosed that he received a phone call from the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, following his recent threat to distance himself from the Obidient Movement.
Recalling that Fayose, while responding to criticism over a viral video showing him praying alongside President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, claimed that Obi had never acknowledged his contributions.
The public affairs commentator, in a video that circulated widely on Friday, warned that he could withdraw his support for Peter Obi if he chose to do so.
However, in another video shared on his Facebook fan page on Friday night, Fayose confirmed that he had spoken with the NDC presidential candidate over the telephone, insisting that he remains “one million percent Obidient”.
He said, “Four hours ago, my leader, Peter Obi called me. His Excellency said “sorry about your wife. I’m in Lagos tonight or tomorrow morning, I will be in your house”.
Fayose further stated, “I love Tinubu’s family but Nigeria belongs to Nigerians and they are saying enough is enough. It’s time for change”.
