Nigeria’s Super Eagles will discover their opponents in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, May 19, ZINGTIE reports.
Confederation of African Football has confirmed that 48 countries, including co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, will participate in the qualifiers.
The teams will be drawn into 12 groups of four, with the top two sides in each group advancing to the final tournament.
The opening match of the competition is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2027, while the final will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2027.
CAF has yet to determine the host country for both the opening match and the final.
The Super Eagles are expected to finish in third place at the AFCON 2025 finals hosted by Morocco.
